1. Fabric

Compared to different fabrics, nylon silk is thin and light, suitable for mountaineering and hiking campers. Oxford cloth is thick but heavy, suitable for camping or small group tents. From the point of view of waterproof coating, although PVC is very waterproof, it will become hard and brittle in winter, and it is easy to crease or break.

2. Lining material

The lining material is usually made of cotton nylon with good air permeability, and its performance is better than that of cotton. When camping, the tent is easy to absorb moisture, cotton cloth is not easy to mold, nylon silk is easy to dry and mold.

3. Base material

The main function of the bottom of the tent is to prevent water, moisture and dust. The choice of substrate also determines the grade of the tent. Low-grade tents are usually made of PE, which is the bane of PVC substrate in winter, while PU coated Oxford cloth is stronger, more resistant to cold and more waterproof than PE.

4. The pole

The poles are the skeleton of the tent. The quality of the skeleton material not only affects the service life of the tent, but also affects the stability of the tent. Early tent support poles were usually made of rebar material, which not only increased the weight of the tent, but also had poor elasticity. The improved tent skeleton is supported by glass fiber, which reduces weight, improves elasticity and has low cost, so most of the current tent manufacturers choose this material as a support rod.
